TOPIC: ENGINE OF GROWTH THRU 2040 – PHILADELPHIA’S PORT’S BRIGHT FUTURE

Ports are vital assets for any region, serving as essential gateways for international trade and a linchpin in the regional supply chain. They support one in every 8 American jobs and contribute $2.9 trillion to the U.S. GDP. Philadelphia’s port is setting new milestones to support a rosy future for our region. What does this mean for shippers? What kinds of expanded supply chain career opportunities will this lead to?

-PhilaPort - the #1 Most Productive Container Port in North America (according to the World Bank)

-A Major Land Acquisition grows capacity.

-New Philaport Cruise Terminal to Open.

-Philaport has developed a Strategic Plan to chart its course to Destination 2040.

In the world of international commerce “you either change or get changed by the change”!

Learn how PhilaPort like hockey is skating to where the puck is going to be, Not to where it’s been.

“It is not the going out of port, but the coming in, that determines the success of a voyage.” — Henry Ward Beecher
